Call for papers
Sharing ideas and knowledge is necessary for the state-of-the-art field robotics to expand. Through this workshop, we aim to provide attendees a supportive environment where they have ample opportunities to receive feedback on their current projects or build new ideas and collaborations for upcoming research studies.
We welcome contributions and work in progress related to robots in the wild, including, but not limited to:
- localization and mapping in challenging domains
- robust autonomy in outdoor environments
- perception and situational awareness in unstructured environments
- planning and navigation in complex environments
- control and maneuverability in harsh conditions
- dataset for unprecedented conditions and environments
- multi-robot system and coordination in outdoor environments
- hardware designs and optimization tailored to tasks in unstructured conditions
- cross-domain sensor fusion and autonomous tasks
- learning-based approaches and applications for robots in the wild
- experimental practices, including both successes and “failures”

We invite interested authors to submit a 2-8 pages paper, in English, as PDF in the standard ICRA IEEE conference format (templates LaTeX or Microsoft Word). We encourage contributions of research papers describing early research on emerging topics and early results. Note that these contributions are not archival.
A video (up to 10 MB) can be added to supplement your paper. Videos are not mandatory. Rather it’s an opportunity to augment one’s paper to visibly showcase results. MPG, MPEG or MP4 video formats can be used.
All submissions will go through a single-blind review process. Authors of accepted papers are expected to present a poster at the workshop. A number of papers will be selected for a 10-15 minute spotlight talk - oral presentation. All accepted papers will be available in the workshop website.
